A pair of Red Wolf goals against the run of play interrupted what was ultimately a dominant Legion FC performance. While the match ended level at two goals apiece after 90 minutes, a red card to Gustavo Fernandes for denial of a goalscoring opportunity just before extra time proved to be costly for Chattanooga, resulting in a pair of extra-time scores from Stéfano Pinho.
