MADISON, Wis - Forward Madison FC announced it has signed forward Wolfgang Prentice on loan for 2024 from USL Championship side Oakland Roots SC, pending league and federation approval. Prentice appeared in nine matches on loan for FMFC in 2023, starting twice and scoring once.

"I am happy to bring Wolfgang back on loan for the 2024 season," said Madison Head Coach Matt Glaeser. "He's a gifted wide player with pace and one-versus-one ability who can play in multiple roles. Having another player with USL Championship experience will enhance and add quality to our roster."

Prentice developed in the LA Galaxy academy system in 2013-14 before playing collegiately at California State University, Northridge where he made 35 appearances and scored four goals.

In 2019, Prentice joined FC Golden State Force in USL League Two and later signed his first professional contract with NISA's San Diego 1904 in 2021, making 16 appearances and scoring a goal in his first season with them. In 2022, Prentice signed with Oakland and was loaned to Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC in USL League One. Prentice made 12 appearances and scored one goal before being loaned to the 'Mingos.
