The Young Reds scored three goals in the game's final half hour to take the points

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Toronto FC II's second-half flurry saw the Young Reds beat South Georgia Tormenta FC 3-1 on Wednesday night at Osceola Heritage Park.

The first half featured few chances for either side. Tormenta FC's Nick O'Callaghan hit the post with a diving header in the 18th minute, the closest anyone came to scoring before the break.

But the second 45 minutes were a totally different story. Luke Singh broke the deadlock for TFC II with a spectacular free kick in the 61st minute, and the game opened up for both teams from there.

Jayden Nelson doubled the lead for the Young Reds four minutes after Singh's strike, only for Stefan Mueller to pull one back for Tormenta eight minutes later.

With play stretched from end-to-end and South Georgia chasing an equalizer, Nelson pickpocketed Tormenta goalkeeper Carlos Avilez in the 79th minute and rolled the ball into an empty net for his second goal of the night, sealing the win for Toronto despite a late red card for Kobe Franklin.

TFC II makes the trip to south Florida at the weekend to face Fort Lauderdale CF for the third time this month, while Tormenta has a week off before hosting the Young Reds at Erk Russell Park next Wednesday.
