Greenville, SC -The Greenville Triumph have announced plans to travel to Bradenton, Florida on February 20th for preseason training at IMG Academy ahead of their inaugural 2019 season, the club announced. Their training stint is highlighted by a February 21st match against the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer.

“Our trip to IMG Academy will be a very important step in the club’s development,” said head coach John Harkes. “Preseason trips like this take the players out of their element and provide a great opportunity to build team chemistry. The facilities at IMG Academy are first-rate, and our game against New England will be a great first measuring stick to gauge where our club is just over a month from our first game.”

The Revolution are coached by Brad Friedel, a former teammate of Harkes on the U.S. National Team. The Revolution are coming off a 3-1 loss to defending USL Cup winner Louisville City on February 14. Prior to their arrival in Florida, New England completed a training camp in Marbella, Spain.

The Triumph will return to the Upstate in March and will be scheduling scrimmages against area colleges in advance of the season-opening game at South Georgia Tormenta FC on March 29th. The Triumph’s first home game is set for April 6. Season tickets are available by heading to www.greenvilletriumph.com/season-tickets.
