TUCSON, Ariz. – FC Tucson bolstered its back line on Thursday as the club announced the signing of defender José Carlos Terrón for the 2019 USL League One season. Per club policy, the details of the contract will not be released.

Terrón most recently played for Spanish club Sociedad Deportiva Barreda Balompié, where he scored three goals and assisted on six more in 31 appearances. A native of Torrelavega, Spain, he spent six years in FC Barcelona’s youth system before beginning his professional career.

A dual-citizen of Spain and France, Terrón previously featured on the youth international stage for both countries, playing for the Spanish U-17 side as well as the France U-18s.

“It is a pleasure to be able to defend the Tucson jersey in its first year as a professional team,” said Terrón. “It’s a great sporting and personal experience for me and my family.”
