GREENVILLE, S.C. – Greenville Triumph SC announced on Friday that it has signed midfielders Cameron Saul and Sami Guediri for the 2019 USL League One season after successful trials with the club. Both signings are pending league and federation approval.
“Being a part of this inaugural team is a huge honor and a real dream come true,” said Saul. “The club, itself, is one that I have followed since its announcement and being a part of it is special.”
Saul joins the team after completing his senior season at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. He spent the past two summers playing with Asheville City SC.
Guediri most recently played for SIMA Aguilas in USL League Two, where he totaled 477 minutes over 13 games during the 2018 season. Head Coach John Harkes and Guediri first met when the 21-year-old was training with Derby County in England nearly five years ago.
“Joining the Triumph is a great honor, a challenge and an opportunity for me to play a pivotal role in helping the club win not only games but also the hearts of the fans,” said Guediri.
The duo joins Tyler Polak, Jake Keegan, Evan Lee and Paul Clowes on Greenville’s inaugural roster.
