Forward joins from St. Patrick's Athletic in Ireland

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Greenville Triumph SC added to its inaugural roster on Thursday as the club announced the signing of forward Jake Keegan for the 2019 USL League One season, pending league and federation approval.

Keegan, who joins from Irish side St. Patrick’s Athletic, played four collegiate seasons at Binghamton University in New York and finished his career as the school’s all-time leading goal-scorer with 28 goals in 71 appearances.

“I’m excited to return stateside to continue my soccer career with the Triumph,” said Keegan. “I’ve been fortunate to score a decent amount of goals throughout my career, and I aim to continue that attacking success in Greenville.”

After college, Keegan joined FCA Darmstadt in Germany for the 2013 season. He also has experience with Irish side Galway FC and Canadian club FC Edmonton.

“We are excited to bring Jake to the Triumph,” said Head Coach and Sporting Director John Harkes. “He brings great experience from his time in Ireland, and he is a crafty forward with great technical ability. As a striker, we’re excited to have a player in Jake that makes quality runs into the box and loves to score goals.”

Keegan becomes Greenville’s second player signing, joining defender Tyler Polak on the team’s inaugural roster.
