Toronto FC II announced today that the club has signed forward Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty to a USL contract, becoming the 42nd player to sign professionally from the Toronto FC Academy. Marshall-Rutty will be eligible to begin participating with Toronto FC II when his contract becomes effective on Jan. 1, 2019.
This season Marshall-Rutty, 14, has been playing in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy for the TFC U15 squad. Marshall-Rutty has played 12 games scoring 20 goals to lead the entire U15 DA in scoring. Marshall-Rutty becomes the youngest ever homegrown signing by Toronto FC.
