USL Division III has made several significant announcements the past few weeks, including officially submitting its sanctioning application – which included 10 teams set to take part in the inaugural 2019 season – to the U.S. Soccer Federation on Tuesday.

However, the league and its teams will continue to make major announcements in the coming weeks and months. USL Division III is expecting to unveil the remaining four teams included in the sanctioning application by the end of September, while teams – such as Madison Pro Soccer and Chattanooga Pro Soccer – are expected to reveal their official brands. Greenville Triumph SC, which unveiled its brand Aug. 9, is in the final stages of announcing its Head Coach, while South Georgia Tormenta FC is working on potential player signings.

"Tuesday was an important day for the league, as we submitted our application with no waivers to the U.S. Soccer Federation, but now the real work begins," USL Division III Senior Vice President Steven Short told USLD3.com. "We are preparing for additional team announcements, league structure announcements and the unveiling of our official brand by the end of the year. Meanwhile, teams are starting to build out their rosters, technical staff and front office and are ready to host representatives from the U.S. Soccer for a compliance visit. We’re excited and look forward to building towards our launch in March of 2019."
