A detailed look at Madison Pro Soccer's official unveiling

MADISON, Wis. – USL Division III revealed Madison, Wisconsin, as its fourth founding member, as well as the first based in the Midwest, in May, and the league was there to celebrate and capture the arrival of the state's only professional outdoor soccer team.

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at Madison Pro Soccer's official unveiling:


League officials land in Madison on Wednesday, May 16, in preparation for the announcement of the USL Division III expansion team on Thursday, May 17.


USL Division III executives arrive at Breese Stevens Field for a walkthrough of the scheduled announcement. Breese Stevens Field is a multi-purpose stadium listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.


Breese Stevens Field is located in downtown Madison on East Washington and will serve as the home of Madison Pro Soccer in 2019 and beyond.


A stream test is conducted to ensure high-level video production for Thursday's event.


League executives tour the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Madison following Wednesday's walkthrough.


The tour of the university includes a stop at the infamous Camp Randall Stadium.
