Potential West Coast ownership groups visited USL HQ and more

USL Division III is in the process of finalizing numerous team announcements across the country following Madison Pro Soccer’s unveiling at Breese Stevens Field in May.

Multiple potential ownership groups have visited the USL offices in the past two months, with a pair of West Coast ownership groups meeting with the league most recently. USL Division III is also preparing for the official brand launch, which is being tentatively scheduled for late this summer.

Meanwhile, expansion sides Greenville Pro Soccer and Madison Pro Soccer have made successful strides since launching. More than 200 season ticket deposits have been made for professional soccer in Wisconsin’s capital, while Greenville will have an announcement early next week regarding season tickets and the ability for the community to provide input about the club’s brand.

While all founding members have been performing well off the field in preparation for the inaugural season in 2019, South Georgia Tormenta FC and FC Tucson have looked strong on the field in the 2018 Premier Development League regular season. Tormenta FC is undefeated through three games (2-0-1) and currently tied atop the Deep South Division, while FC Tucson is tied atop the Mountain Division after recording two wins and one loss.
