PAPILLION, Neb. – Union Omaha announced on Monday it had signed midfielder Adrian Billhardt ahead of the 2026 USL League One season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Billhardt joins Los Buhos having most recently competed for the Richmond Kickers, where he recorded eight goals and three assists across 39 appearances over the past two seasons. The 28-year-old also recorded 30 chances created and won 34 tackles at a 74.4 percent success rate during his time with the Kickers.

A native of Berlin, Germany, Billhardt had previously claimed the USL League One title with South Georgia Tormenta FC, where he recorded five goals and six assists in 37 appearances across two seasons with the club, leading the team to the 2022 title alongside fellow new Omaha signing Gabriel Cabral. During the 2022 campaign, Billhardt claimed League One’s Comeback Player of the Year award after an early-season injury curtailed his rookie season in 2021.

“Adrian is a USL League One champion that is a very talented and versatile attacking footballer,” said Head Coach Vincenzo Candela. “He will not only bring his wonderful quality to improve our team on the field in 2026, but off the field, his ambition and professionalism will raise the standards in our locker room!”

Billhardt came through the ranks in his hometown of Berlin, with FC Union Berlin’s academy. After a youth career that saw him train with Germany’s U-17 national team at one point, he moved stateside to attend the University of South Florida. Billhardt earned American Athletic Conference Second Team All-Conference in 2019.
