TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the nominees for the 2025 Prinx Tires Most Valuable Performer award, honoring four of the top performers through the campaign for their contributions to their club’s success across the regular season, playoffs and USL Jägermeister Cup.
Fan voting for the award on USLLeagueOne.com is now open and will run through Friday, Dec, 5, at 12 p.m. ET.
The award-winner will be announced on Friday afternoon following the conclusion of the poll.
Souaibou Marou, Charlotte Independence – The Cameroonian midfielder made an immediate impact for the Independence, recording nine goals in the regular season at a strike rate of a goal every 138.1 minutes. Seven of Marou’s goals came off the bench, placing him second in League One’s single-season scoring list as a substitute, as he made a key impact in the Independence reaching the postseason.
Sergio Ors Navarro, Union Omaha – The first-year pro recorded 10 goals and two assists in his first season for Los Buhos, leading the club in scoring while averaging a goal every 155.9 minutes. Ors Navarro also led Omaha with a +6.26 Goals Added mark as the side averaged 1.8 goals per game in contests in which he appeared, while his strong second half of the campaign proved key in the club maintaining its run of postseason berths.
Jay Tee Kamara, Portland Hearts of Pine – The Sierra Leone playmaker was one of the impact players for Hearts of Pine in its standout inaugural season, recording six goals and four assists in the League One campaign while consistently providing a spark off the bench for the squad. Kamara’s four goals and three assists as a substitute saw him tie for the league-lead in goal contributions off the bench, while also chipping in two assists in the USL Jägermeister Cup.
Anuar Peláez, Spokane Velocity FC – The Colombian helped lead Velocity to its second consecutive League One Final, ending the campaign with a team-leading 10 goals while also notching two assists across the regular season and playoffs. Peláez had an important all-around impact on the field for his side, posting a team-high +6.59 Goals Added mark as Velocity won 14 of 25 regular season games when he appeared, averaging 1.4 goals per game.
