TAMPA, Fla. – One Knoxville SC will host Spokane Velocity FC in the 2025 USL League One Final on Sunday evening after a dramatic weekend in the 2025 USL League One Playoffs presented by Terminix saw the two hosts advance from the Semifinals.

Having previously claimed the Players’ Shield in the regular season, One Knox will try to become the fourth club to claim the double in league history after advancing past first-year club FC Naples on Saturday night.

Spokane, meanwhile, became only the third team to reach the League One Final in its first two seasons and advanced via a penalty shootout against Portland Hearts of Pine on Sunday night, and will now try to claim its first silverware after falling to Union Omaha in last year’s Final.

The 2025 USL League One Final will be held on Sunday, November 16 at 5 p.m. ET and air on the CBS Sports Golazo Network and SiriusXM FC.

Kempes Tekiela continued his standout postseason with the only goal of the game as One Knoxville SC maintained its undefeated record at home this season before a crowd of 4,285 at Covenant Health Park. The German forward – who recorded two assists in his side’s Quarterfinal victory – went close to opening the scoring in first half stoppage time with an effort that hit the right post, but in the 66th minute he swept home a first-time finish off Stuart Ritchie’s low cross from the left into the bottom-right corner of the net to deliver the decisive blow.

Carlos Merancio made a pair of saves in a penalty shootout after Nil Vinyals had equalized in the 121st minute to send Spokane Velocity FC to the League One Final for a second consecutive year with a dramatic win against Portland Hearts of Pine at ONE Spokane Stadium. Velocity took a late first-half lead through Luis Gil, but Portland rallied as Ollie Wright leveled early in the second half before Jay Tee Kamara put the visitors ahead two minutes into extra time. Vinyal’s late equalizer sent the game to a shootout, where Hearts of Pine had a shot to win by Kamara in the fifth round, only for Merancio to make the save. The Mexican goalkeeper then denied Portland’s Michael Poon-Angeron after Jalen Crisler had scored for the hosts to open the seventh round, sending Spokane through.
