ONE KNOXVILLE COMPLETES FIRST FULL-SEASON UNDEFEATED HOME SLATE
One Knoxville SC claimed the USL League One Players’ Shield for the first time last Saturday night with a 1-0 victory against Greenville Triumph SC at Covenant Health Park. The result also saw One Knox become the first club in League One history to record an undefeated home slate in a full regular season, with the side going 11-0-4 over the campaign.
Previously, North Texas SC completed an undefeated home slate during the abbreviated 2020 season, posting a 4-0-4 record. One Knox’s run – which also saw the side set a single-season record for most home wins in a regular season with 11 – saw the side post a 2.47ppg mark over the regular season, the highest in a home League One campaign.

FC NAPLES, PORTLAND HEARTS OF PINE POST IMPRESSIVE INAUGURAL SEASONS
FC Naples and Portland Hearts of Pine became the third and fourth expansion clubs to reach the USL League One Playoffs this season and did so in impressive fashion on the field. Naples posted the second-highest points-per-game mark of a first-year club at 1.57ppg to become the first expansion club to host a playoff game in league history.
Hearts of Pine, meanwhile, came in at a 1.5ppg mark, ranking third all-time in league history to take the No. 7 seed. Only Union Omaha in the abbreviated 2020 season posted a better finish or points-per-game mark among expansion sides, averaging 1.81ppg in its inaugural season.

AV ALTA’S EDUARDO BLANCAS DOUBLES UP FREE KICK GOALS RECORD
AV ALTA FC midfielder Eduardo Blancas struck home his fifth and sixth direct free kicks in his side’s 2-2 against Portland Hearts of Pine this past Saturday, extending his single season record for the most direct free kick goals in a season in League One. Blancas doubled up the previous high of Lexington SC’s Tate Robertson in the 2023 season. Twelve players overall have previously notched multiple goals directly from free kicks in a League One campaign.

WESTCHESTER SC’S JUAN CARLOS OBREGON JR. CLAIMS GOLDEN BOOT
Westchester SC forward Juan Carlos Obregón Jr. earned the USL League One Golden Boot for the 2025 season, with his 17-goal campaign coming in as one of the best individual seasons in league history. The Honduran international ranked tied for third in a single season, trailing only Trevor Amann (Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC) on 23 goals in the 2023 season and Emiliano Terzaghi (Richmond Kickers) on 18 goals in the 2021 campaign.
Obregón holds the distinction of becoming the first USL League One Golden Boot winner earned over a full season whose side missed out on qualification for the subsequent USL League One Playoffs. In 2020, Terzaghi claimed the Golden Boot for the Kickers, who finished fourth in the regular season, when the postseason was limited to two clubs.

UNION OMAHA’S CHARLIE OSTREM BANKS DOUBLE-DIGIT ASSIST SEASON
Union Omaha defender Charlie Ostrem claimed the 2025 USL League One Golden Playmaker award, setting a club record with 10 assists in the campaign to surpass Luis Gil’s nine assists for Los Buhos in the 2023 campaign. Ostrem also became only the fifth player to record double-digit assists in a League One regular season.

Chattanooga Red Wolves SC’s Jason Smith and One Knoxville SC’s Sean Lewis each finished the regular season with a 0.88 goals-against average this campaign, with Smith claiming the Golden Glove on the shutouts tiebreaker with a league-leading 11 clean sheets.
The respective campaigns, however, sent both goalkeepers into the Top 10 of USL League One’s goals-against average marks, tying for seventh place overall.

Portland Hearts of Pine midfielder Masashi Wada has been suspended for one match following his red card for two cautionable offenses against AV ALTA FC on October 25. Wada will be unavailable for Portland’s USL League One Quarterfinal against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Saturday, November 1.
Greenville Triumph SC defender Ivan Agyaakwah has been suspended for one match following his red card for two cautionable offenses against One Knoxville SC on October 25. Agyaakwah will serve his suspension in the opening game of the 2026 regular season.
