TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the four nominees for the League One Player of the Month presented by Konami eFootball for August, with top performers from the seventh season's sixth month selected for the ballot.
Voting for the League One Player of the Month award will be conducted by the following two voting bodies:
The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, Sept. 11.
Please note: The League One Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as League One Player of the Year or position players of the year. Additionally, the selection process takes both USL League One and USL Jägermeister Cup matches into consideration.
M - Ollie Wright, Portland Hearts of Pine: Wright recorded two goals and three assists in five appearances, averaging a goal contribution every 69.2 minutes, while recording 10 chances created, 11 shots and a team-high +1.84 goals added mark.
F - Karsen Henderlong, FC Naples: Henderlong continued his pursuit of the USL League One Golden Boot with four goals and one assist in the month, averaging a goal every 133.5 minutes in six appearances while posting a 54.6% shooting accuracy rate and a team-high +1.74 goals added mark.
M - Mason Tunbridge, South Georgia Tormenta FC: Tunbridge recorded three goals and two assists in six appearances over the month, averaging a goal every 119.7 minutes while posting a shooting accuracy rate of 54.6% and a team-high +1.42 goals added mark.
GK - Denzil Smith, AV ALTA FC: The Trinidad and Tobago international recorded 14 saves in three appearances with a 77.8 save percentage and conceded only four times, accumulating a -3.95 goals prevented mark for the month and a league-high +2.82 goals added mark among goalkeepers.
