TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the Team of the Week for Week 26 of the 2025 regular season, with Portland Hearts of Pine midfielder Ollie Wright named Player of the Week presented by Konami eFootball with a goal and two assists against the Charlotte Independence.
Wright has continued to deliver in what has become the most productive season of his five-year professional career, leading the charge in Portland's 4-2 victory against Charlotte with a goal and two assists. The 26-year-old has scored or assisted eight of Portland's 10 goals through its last six matches across all competitions, positioning Hearts above the playoff line after three consecutive unbeaten matches. Wright is also the first player this season to record multiple matches with three or more goal contributions.
"The games at hand mean nothing unless you capitalize on them, so I think three points for us tonight is huge," Wright said after the win. "From preseason, we've always had the mentality of next man up, so whether that's Noah [Kvifte] today filling in for Titus [Washington], or whether it's Sean [Vinberg] doing a shift at right back, wherever it may be, everyone's ready to do what's needed for the team. I think that showed today.
"Sometimes when it flows, it flows, and the floodgates can open. But like I said, the most important thing for us is that we won tonight. It was a great performance, but we'll focus on Wednesday now and try and put some results together."
