TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced that Chattanooga Red Wolves SC's Scott Mackenzie has been named the USL League One Coach of the Month for July.
With an unbeaten 4-0-1 July, Mackenzie's Red Wolves set club records with four wins and four clean sheets in a single month. The lone unbeaten League One team in July claimed shutout victories against Knoxville twice, Richmond and Spokane, and led all teams in points (13), goal differential (+7), clean sheets (4), points per match (2.60), goals conceded (1) and goals conceded below expected (-3.3).
"Very proud of this award, mostly because it doesn't reflect the efforts of myself, but it's recognition of the team; the players and the staff who are so bought into our culture and our environment," Mackenzie said. "They had a great month, they are in the process of a great season, and it's up to all of us to keep it rolling. Surround yourself with good people, and good things will happen."
Mackenzie earned the award with 100% of the ballot. Mackenzie was selected as League One's Coach of the Month by the USL League One Technical Committee.
