SHERMAN, Texas - Texoma FC today announced the signing of 24-year-old defender Alejandro Padilla to a 25-day contract.

"Alejandro was a player identified by assistant coach Ben Clarvis," said Texoma head coach Adrian Forbes. "Alejandro brings a real physical presence to the group and also possesses the correct technical attributes that we would look for in any player that joins the club.

A native of Colorado, Padilla joined the Colorado Rapids Academy in 2017 and spent the next four years within the MLS side's youth system. Padilla signed a USL Academy contract with USL Championship side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, making four appearances with the club across USL Championship and U.S. Open Cup play between 2019 and 2020.

Padilla attended California State University, Sacramento in 2021, making 49 appearances for the Hornets. He transferred to the University of Memphis, claiming the 2024 American Conference regular season title. In March 2025, Padilla joined USL League Two side Little Rock Rangers, winning the Mid-South Division and making a pair of appearances in the 2025 U.S. Open Cup.

"Padilla is a player we have been monitoring for a while," said Texoma assistant coach Ben Clarvis. "We are pleased to finally have him in the club. He had a very impressive summer season with Little Rock in USL League Two, and now I'm excited to see him bring that quality to the next level."
