Which playmaker deserves to be named Player of the Month?

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the four nominees for the League One Player of the Month presented by Konami eFootball for April, with top performers from the seventh season's fourth month selected for the ballot.

Voting for the League One Player of the Month award will be conducted by the following two voting bodies:

  • A fan vote on USLLeagueOne.com will comprise 60% of the poll. The fan vote will run through Monday, July 7 at 12 p.m. ET.

  • The USL Technical Committee's ballots comprise 40% of the poll.

The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, July 10.

Please note: The League One Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as League One Player of the Year or position players of the year. Additionally, the selection process takes both USL League One and USL Jägermeister Cup matches into consideration.

USL LEAGUE ONE PLAYER OF THE MONTH NOMINEES – June

  • M - Eduardo Blancas, AV ALTA FC: The 23-year-old midfielder helped AV ALTA FC to its first unbeaten month in club history, scoring once in a victory against Westchester before recording the first hat trick in club history against Naples. Through four matches and 357 minutes of play, Blancas totaled 13 recoveries, 10 duels won, eight chances created, eight shots on target, seven completed long passes, seven accurate crosses, four dribbles completed, and completed 79% of his passes.

  • F - Josh Kirkland, Richmond Kickers: The Richmond, Va. native made the most of his 199 minutes on the pitch in June, scoring three goals and providing one assist through just three matches. In addition to providing three of Richmond's five goals on the month, the 24-year-old also won five duels and reeled in five recoveries.

  • F - Ajmeer Spengler, Texoma FC: Spengler helped Texoma move into a playoff position with one goal and two assists through four matches and 271 minutes. The second-year professional won 13 duels, recorded 11 recoveries, completed 83% of his passes, won eight fouls, created six chances, completed four dribbles and connected on three long passes.

  • M - Ollie Wright, Portland Hearts of Pine: Wright registered the first hat trick in club history to defeat defending champions Omaha before assisting Portland's equalizer in a 1-1 draw against Antelope Valley. Across four matches and 296 minutes, the 26-year-old added 18 duels won, 11 recoveries, eight dribbles completed, six completed long passes, four shots on target, three chances created, all while completing 77% of his passes.
