SL Benfica defeats FC Naples in FIFA Club World Cup tune-up

First-year USL League One side fell to Portuguese giants, 2-1

TAMPA, Fla. - In between its first two FIFA Club World Cup matches in Florida, Portuguese Primeira Liga side SL Benfica faced FC Naples in a training match in Tampa.

Benfica rolled out a starting lineup featuring former Louisville City FC star Josh Wynder and a number of rising talents, and ultimately defeated Naples, 2-1, following a pair of 30-minute halves.

Gonçalo Oliveira and Andrea Belotti scored for Benfica, while first-year professional Justin Weiss scored the lone Naples goal after recording his first professional scores in league play over the weekend.
