Discipline Report – Week 16

No players or coaches enter Week 16 of the USL League One regular season on the discipline report.

NEWS & NOTES

HAT TRICK HERO

With Wright's huge hat trick to help Portland down the defending champs in comeback fashion on Sunday, the 26-year-old earned Player of the Week honors and has already set a personal record with four goals in a single season. Additionally, the former San Antonio FC, Rio Grande Valley FC and Huntsville City FC man became the second player in league history to register a hat trick against the defending champions.

Players with hat tricks against defending USL League One champions:

  • Ollie Wright (POR) vs. Omaha (6/15/25)
  • Charlie Dennis (TUC) vs. Greenville (9/18/21)

RIDING TO THE TOP

Despite losing two of his best playmakers earlier this season - Luis Álvarez was transferred to the Tampa Bay Rowdies and loanee Alfredo Midence was recalled by Lexington - longtime Charlotte head coach Mike Jeffries still has his Jacks off to their best start to a regular season in the club's 11-year history.

Record through first 12 matches of Charlotte Independence regular season, by year:

  1. 2025 - 7-2-3, 24 pts.
  2. 2024 - 7-3-2, 23 pts.
  3. 2023 - 6-2-4, 22 pts.
  4. 2020 - 6-3-3, 21 pts.
  5. 2018 - 6-4-2, 20 pts.
  6. 2017 - 5-3-4, 19 pts.
  7. 2016 - 5-4-3, 18 pts.
  8. 2021 - 5-6-1, 16 pts.
  9. 2015 - 4-5-3, 15 pts.
  10. 2022 - 4-6-2, 14 pts.
  11. 2019 - 1-6-5, 8 pts.
