Omaha's Rashid Nuhu earns first Player of the Week nod after six-save shutout victory

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the Team of the Week for Week 14 of the 2025 regular season, with Union Omaha goalkeeper Rashid Nuhu named Player of the Week presented by Konami eFootball with six saves in a shutout road victory against rivals Forward Madison FC.

The Omaha captain led the defending champions to their first league victory since March 29, recording six saves in a shutout victory in Madison. The Ghanaian's performance in goal was enough to secure Nuhu's first-career Player of the Week nod and Omaha's fifth shutout in 10 contests against Madison at Breese Stevens Field.

"I think you saw today a team that, no matter what you throw at them, they're going to keep fighting, keep pushing, be resilient and they're going to come together," Omaha Head Coach Dominic Casciato said after the victory.

GK - Rashid Nuhu, Union Omaha: The two-time USL League One Golden Glove winner extended his all-time league record with his 41st clean sheet, helping the defending champions to a much-needed victory. Nuhu finished with a 74% passing accuracy rate, six saves and six completed long passes in Omaha's 1-0 win in Madison.

D - Jake Dengler, FC Naples: The veteran League One defender helped Naples to a 1-1 draw in Greenville with eight clearances, eight accurate long balls, a 75% passing accuracy rate, six duels won, three tackles won and three recoveries.

D - Josh Drack, Westchester SC: In his fourth consecutive start since joining from the Charleston Battery last month, Drack helped Westchester to a 1-1 draw against Knoxville with an 85% passing accuracy rate, eight recoveries, seven duels won, five clearances, five fouls won and two chances created.

D - Walmer Martínez, AV ALTA FC: In his 120th match as a professional, Martínez helped AV ALTA FC hold league-leaders Spokane scoreless with his 90% passing accuracy rate, eight recoveries, four completed long passes, four duels won, two clearances and two completed dribbles.

D - Declan Watters, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: Watters opened the scoring against Portland with his first goal of the season and second of his professional career, guiding the Red Wolves to their third consecutive league victory. The 26-year-old totaled 10 duels won, six clearances, three completed long passes, three interceptions, two recoveries and one chance created.

M - Teddy Baker, Texoma FC: The first-year professional scored in his second consecutive match, leading Texoma to a 2-1 comeback victory in Richmond. The 23-year-old English midfielder added a 76% passing accuracy rate, four clearances, three chances created, three recoveries, two completed long passes and two duels won.

M - Isidro Martinez, Union Omaha: Martinez opened his Omaha account with a spectacular, match-winning strike from the center circle against his former side in Madison. The 28-year-old finished with an 86% passing accuracy rate, three recoveries, three duels won, two completed long passes and one chance created.

M - Prince Saydee, Westchester SC: Saydee netted Westchester's lone goal in its 1-1 draw against Knoxville in New York. Through 80 minutes of play, the former Liberia international completed 90% of his passes, won five duels, registered three recoveries, won three fouls and created one chance.

F - Solomon Asante, Texoma FC: After his 73rd-minute winner capped off Texoma's 2-1 comeback victory in Richmond, the legendary USL Championship goalscorer now has three goals across his last six league matches. The 35-year-old Ghanaian helped Texoma stretch its unbeaten streak to a club-record four matches with a 92% passing accuracy rate, four recoveries, two chances created, two completed long passes and two duels won.

F - Christian Chaney, Charlotte Independence: Now with 30 League One goals to his name after bagging the winner from the spot against South Georgia in the 5th minute, Chaney has moved into a tie with Jake Keegan for the third-most goals in league history. The 30-year-old also completed 67% of his passes, placed three shots on target, won three duels, tallied two clearances and won two fouls.

F - Karsen Henderlong, FC Naples: Naples' young star has continued to shine, recording the opening goal in a 1-1 road draw against Greenville to remain tied atop the Golden Boot standings with six league scores on the season. The 24-year-old ended the evening with eight duels won, a 69% passing accuracy rate, three fouls earned and two tackles won.

Coach - Adrian Forbes, Texoma FC: Forbes has led his first-year side to a club-best four-match unbeaten streak, as Los Pájaros' 2-1 comeback victory in Richmond has them perched above the playoff line for the first time in club history. Despite a week-low seven touches in the opponent's box, Texoma led the league in shooting accuracy (71%), tackle success (86%) and points won above expected (2.29), per American Soccer Analysis, in Week 14.
