TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the Team of the Week for Week 12 of the 2025 regular season, with Chattanooga Red Wolves SC defender Josh Ramos named Player of the Week presented by Konami eFootball after playing a key role in his side’s 2-1 victory against South Georgia Tormenta FC on Saturday night.
A U.S. Virgin Islands international, Ramos put together a strong two-way performance on the right flank for the Red Wolves, notching the assist on the opening goal of the game by Zahir Vazquez while also recording a pair of shots on target in the contest. The 25-year-old also won 3 of 3 tackles and 7 of 9 duels defensively and notched two clearances and six recoveries as the visitors held firm to victory despite holding only 24.2 percent of possession.
The victory for the Red Wolves was their third in the past four games, the first such streak the club has compiled in a regular season since 2022. The side has lost only once so far this season, with Saturday’s result moving Chattanooga into the top four in the League One standings.
GK – Wallis Lapsley, Forward Madison FC: Lapsley posted a five-save performance for the Flamingos in their 1-1 draw against Portland Hearts of Pine, helping the side preserve a point at Breese Stevens Field with a -1.65 Goals Prevented mark.
D – Josh Ramos, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: Ramos recorded one assist and two shots on target in the Red Wolves’ 2-1 victory against South Georgia Tormenta while also winning 2 of 2 tackles and 7 of 9 duels defensively.
D – Nathan Messer, Portland Hearts of Pine: Messer scored the equalizer for Hearts of Pine against Forward Madison and had two shots on target overall while also winning 2 of 3 tackles and 6 of 11 duels defensively.
D – Max Glasser, FC Naples: Glasser put in a good defensive display, recording five interceptions and three recoveries while winning 4 of 6 ground duels and also had an assist in Naples’ 3-1 victory against Union Omaha on Sunday night.
M – Javier Mariona, AV ALTA FC: Mariona notched one assist to spark Antelope Valley’s comeback 2-1 victory against the Charlotte Independence, while completing 15 of 17 passes and recording five chances created as well as logging three shots and winning 3 of 5 duels.
M – Darwin Espinal, Richmond Kickers: Espinal scored the opening goal in the Kickers’ comeback as they rallied for a 2-2 draw against Westchester SC and ended the game with five shots and three shots on target while completing 2 of 4 dribbles and 4 of 4 long passes.
M – Zahir Vazquez, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: The 25-year-old scored the opening goal in the Red Wolves’ victory in South Georgia and won 2 of 2 tackles and 2 of 3 duels in midfield.
M – Jayden Onen, FC Naples: The 24-year-old capped Naples’ victory with a goal early in the second half and had one chance created while recording four recoveries and one interception in his side’s 3-1 victory against Union Omaha.
F – Pedro Hernandez, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: Hernandez scored what proved the be the game-winner against Tormenta and had four shots overall, hitting the woodwork with a second effort, while he also won 7 of 11 ground duels in the side’s staunch defensive effort.
F – JC Obregón Jr., Westchester SC: The Honduran international scored his fifth goal of the League One campaign and had three shots and three chances created overall in WSC’s 2-2 draw against the Richmond Kickers while also completing 18 of 21 passes.
F – Andres Ferrin, FC Naples: The Colombian won and converted a penalty kick to open the scoring in his side’s victory against Union Omaha and had two shots and one chance created overall at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex.
Coach – Matt Poland, FC Naples: Poland’s side rebounded from a recent dip in form to earn a 3-1 victory against Union Omaha that moved Naples back into second place in the League One standings.
