ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico United announced on Thursday the club had acquired goalkeeper Djibril Moussa on loan from AV ALTA FC of USL League One. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Moussa is in his first season in the professional ranks having previously competed for San Diego State University collegiately. The 6-foot-2 shot-stopper earned the Western Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and was selected to the United Soccer Coaches Far West All-Region Second Team in his final season for the Aztecs as he posted a save percentage of 70.5 percent on 43 saves, six shutouts and a 1.31 goals-against average.
A native of Boulder, Colo., Moussa had previously competed at the Barca AZ Residency Academy and spent his first three seasons at Old Dominion University, logging almost 5,000 minutes in the college ranks overall.
