TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced that Spokane Velocity FC forward Anuar Peláez has been voted USL League One Player of the Month presented by Konami eFootball with two goals and two assists.

The 32-year-old Colombian helped Spokane to an unbeaten month in both league and USL Jägermeister Cup play with two goals and two assists through four matches and 314 minutes of action, notably bagging the winner against his former club, Oakland, to close out April. Peláez added 20 duels won, seven fouls won, a 57% passing accuracy rate, five shots on target, five recoveries, four chances created and four dribbles completed.

Peláez kicked off April by helping Spokane to a scoreless draw against Portland before leading Velocity FC to back-to-back league victories; the Colombian assisted Shavon John-Brown's winner against Texoma before scoring a goal of his own on April 13 and assisted Jack Denton's opener against Antelope Valley on April 19. Peláez closed out April against USL Championship side Oakland, scoring the winner against his former club to help Spokane claim its first win against a higher-division opponent.

"I'm so happy to be the Player of the Month, but I could not win it without my teammates," Peláez said.

Peláez received 43.5% of a weighted poll that included the USL League One Technical Committee and an online fan vote held at USLLeagueOne.com. South Georgia Tormenta FC midfielder Mason Tunbridge finished second on 24% with his league-leading five goals, FC Naples forward and March Player of the Month Karsen Henderlong finished third on 20.4% with three match-winning goals.
