FAMILIAR FACES, NEW PLACES

Five of the six Week 10 matches will feature several homecomings of sort, with seven players or coaches set to face off against their former club.

Player or coaches facing their former club in Week 10:

  • WESvCLT
    • WES HC Dave Carton - Carton is facing Charlotte for the first time since joining WSC over the offseason. He spent over a decade working within the Independence organization.
    • WES D Joel Johnson - Charlotte's all-time appearances leader is facing his former club for the first time since departing over the offseason. He spent eight seasons and made 220 appearances with the Jacks.
    • WES F Juan Carlos Obregón, Jr. - The 2024 USL League One All-League First Team selection will face Charlotte on Saturday. The Honduras international scored 20 goals for the Jacks last season.
    • WES GK Dane Jacomen - Jacomen made his professional debut with the Independence back in 2022 on loan from Loudoun United FC.
  • CHAvRIC
    • CHA M Matt Bentley - The Londoner spent the first two seasons of his professional career in Richmond with the Kickers, totaling seven goals and three assists. In his first nine matches with the Red Wolves, Bentley has scored five goals.
  • TRMvSPK
    • SPK M Nil Vinyals - The Spaniard began his professional career as one of a handful of Ibises who transitioned from USL League Two to USL League One with the club in 2019. The 2023 and 2024 All-League selection can tie the all-time league assists record at 20 with an assist on Saturday.
  • OMAvPOR
    • POR HC Bobby Murphy - Murphy spent the 2021 season as an assistant coach in Omaha, helping the Owls win both the Players' Shield and the USL League One Final.

Only a week after Knoxville set a record for the highest-attended match hosted by a League One club, One Knox traveled to Portland for Hearts of Pine's inaugural USL League One match. With 5,784 fans in attendance, the first-year side's inaugural match at Fitzpatrick Stadium was the ninth highest-attended match hosted by a League One club and was second in League One history among inaugural season league home openers.
