TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the Team of the Week for Week 6 of the 2025 regular season, with AV ALTA FC midfielder Jimmie Villalobos named Player of the Week presented by Konami eFootball with his first professional brace.
Now with four goals in his last three matches, the Bakersfield, Calif. native helped AV ALTA FC remain perfect at Lancaster Municipal Stadium with a 25-minute brace against his former club, handing Chattanooga Red Wolves SC its first loss of the season. and leading AV ALTA FC to a 3-2 comeback victory.
"We knew [Chattanooga] hadn't lost all season, and that lit a fire in us," Villalobos said. "Every guy stepped up tonight — it was a full team effort. These are the kind of moments you live for as a player."

GK - Austin Pack, South Georgia Tormenta FC: The former League One Goalkeeper of the Year constructed a special performance in South Georgia's 2-1 victory against Portland. The 31-year-old registered five saves and saved the fourth penalty kick of his professional career. Per American Soccer Analysis, Pack led all goalkeepers in goals conceded below expected (1.81) and goals added (1.60).
D - Zane Bubb, Greenville Triumph SC: The 25-year-old, second-year professional enjoyed a strong outing in Greenville's 1-0 loss to Knoxville. Bubb won 14 duels, completed 11 long passes, tallied five clearances, recorded four interceptions, won three tackles and completed 64 of his 81 passes.
D - Timmy Mehl, Forward Madison FC: Mehl provided the assist on Nazeem Bartman's 88th-minute equalizer in Madison's 1-1 draw in Charlotte. The former League One All-League Second Team defender completed 90% of his passes and added eight completed long passes, five clearances, five duels won, four recoveries and two tackles won.
D - Maxi Schenfeld, Richmond Kickers: Through a pair of Week 6 matches and 135 minutes of action, Schenfeld recorded an assist and finished the week with 12 recoveries, nine duels won, four chances created, four tackles won and three clearances.
D - Derek Waldeck, Spokane Velocity FC: The longtime League One defender scored his first goal for Velocity FC - just the second of his professional career - in Spokane's 4-1 victory against Texoma. Waldeck completed 85% of his passes and totaled seven accurate long balls, seven recoveries, seven duels won and three tackles won. Per American Soccer Analysis, Waldeck led the league with a passing score of 5.95.
M - Luis Álvarez, Charlotte Independence: Álvarez scored his first league goal of the year in Charlotte's 1-1 draw with Madison. The 2024 League One All-League First Team midfielder ended the evening with a 67% passing accuracy rate, 10 recoveries, eight completed long passes, seven duels won and three successful dribbles.
M - Andrés Ferrín, FC Naples: After developing with Colombian top-flight side Once Caldas, Ferrín has enjoyed a strong start to his first season in the United States. In Naples' 2-1 victory against Richmond, the 23-year-old scored his third goal of the season before assisting Karsen Henderlong's winner in the 23rd minute. Ferrín completed 75% of his passes and added five duels won, four tackles won and four recoveries.
M - Shavon John-Brown, Spokane Velocity FC: The Grenada international recorded his first multi-goal-contribution match since 2021, scoring the winning goal before providing an assist in Spokane's big 4-1 victory against Texoma. The 30-year-old totaled six duels won, two chances created, two dribbles completed and two recoveries.
M - Darwin Espinal, Richmond Kickers: Espinal scored in each of Richmond's two Week 6 matches, bumping his total up to three on the young season. In a combined 175 minutes against Omaha and Naples, Espinal recorded a 79% passing accuracy rate, 12 recoveries, 10 duels won, three dribbles completed and two tackles won.
M - Jimmie Villalobos, AV ALTA FC: The 29-year-old has already equaled his career-best four goals in a single season after bagging his first professional brace against Chattanooga on Saturday. The former Red Wolf helped AV ALTA FC to victory against his former side with an 84% passing accuracy rate, five recoveries and four duels won.
F - Matt Bentley, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: Bentley has five goals through his first six matches of the season after recording his second brace of the season on Saturday against AV ALTA FC. The 26-year-old Londoner ended his day with one penalty won, six duels won, three shots on target and two fouls won.
Coach - Brian Kleiban, AV ALTA FC: Kleiban helped AV ALTA FC to its fourth consecutive home victory to remain perfect at Lancaster Municipal Stadium. Per American Soccer Analysis, Antelope Valley won 2.34 points above expected in its 3-2 comeback victory against Chattanooga.
