SHERMAN, Texas - Texoma FC today announced it has signed 20-year-old forward Diego Pepi on loan from Major League Soccer side FC Dallas, pending league and federation approval.

The El Paso, Texas native began his career with FC Dallas Youth and the FC Dallas Academy before making his professional debut with FC Dallas' reserve team, North Texas SC, in 2023. Across both the 2023 and 2024 MLS NEXT Pro seasons, Pepi has totaled 22 appearances and two goals for NTSC. In January 2025, FC Dallas signed Pepi to a Homegrown contract.

"When we were made aware of the opportunity to sign him on loan, it was an opportunity we wanted to jump at," said Texoma Head Coach Adrian Forbes. "In the year that he is with us, we want to take his game to another level so that when he returns to FC Dallas, he is primed and ready to compete for a starting role in MLS."

"I am super excited to be a part of the inaugural Texoma FC squad," said Pepi. "One of my favorite quotes, 'Hard work is worthless for those that don’t believe in themselves,' motivates me for the season ahead. I will be sure that the hard work I put in for my teammates and the Texoma community is showcased in my game."

Diego Pepi is the younger brother of the United States Men's National Team and PSV forward Ricardo Pepi. The elder Pepi brother began his professional career in USL League One with North Texas SC in 2019, helping the former League One side win the inaugural League One title and League One Players' Shield.
