SHERMAN, Texas - Texoma FC today announced the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Philip "Ajmeer" Spengler, pending league and federation approval.
A native of Tampa, Fla., Spengler made his professional debut a season ago in USL League One with South Georgia Tormenta FC. Across all competitions for the Ibises, Spengler stood out with two goals and seven assists in 32 total appearances.
Spengler played collegiately at Stetson University (2019-21) and the University of South Florida (2022-23). In 38 appearances with the Hatters, Spengler totaled eight goals and three assists, while with the Bulls, the midfielder registered nine goals and eight assists through 36 matches played. During his senior season at USF, Spengler received AAC First Team All-Conference honors.
"I'm incredibly grateful to Texoma FC for giving me the opportunity to play," Spengler said. "I can't wait to help the team be successful this year!"
"We are excited to add a player of Ajmeer's quality to our attacking options," said Texoma Assistant Coach Ben Clarvis. "He is a player that can create and score goals out of nothing and will be one the fans will love to watch."
