LANCASTER, Calif. - AV ALTA FC today announced it has signed 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Soccer Championship Most Valuable Player Joaquin Acuna to his first professional contract, pending league and federation approval.

The 21-year-old forward spent all four years of his collegiate career at the University of North Florida and led the Ospreys to the 2024 ASUN Championship. In 52 appearances with UNF between 2021-24, Acuna recorded 20 goals and four assists.

Across his four-year collegiate career, the Naples, Fla. native earned numerous accolades including 2024 ASUN Champion, ASUN Tournament MVP (2024), ASUN All-Tournament Team (2024), Unanimous ASUN All-Conference First Team (2024), ASUN All-Freshman Team (Fall 2021) and UNF Male Freshman of the Year (2022), among others.
