NAPLES, Fla. - FC Naples today announced the signing of 25-year-old Bolivian forward Sebastian Joffre, pending league and federation approval.

"Sebastian is a player I identified early on as a local talent that I wanted to sign. He has a wealth of experience as a player both domestically and internationally. His ability to play in different systems and positions will be important for us throughout the season," said Naples Head Coach Matt Poland.

Joffre's signing is particularly special for FC Naples, as he is a hometown player who has made an impressive mark on the soccer world. Originally from Bolivia, Joffre began playing soccer at the age of 5. In 2012, his family moved to the United States and settled in Naples, Fla., where he continued to excel at the game.

Joffre first made a name for himself at Gulf Coast High School, where he was recognized as the 2015-16 NDN Boys Soccer Player of the Year. As a senior, he scored an overtime-winning goal in the 4A state championship game on Feb. 24, 2018, leading the Sharks to a 2-1 victory over Fletcher. His skill and determination paved the way for a professional career that has taken him across multiple continents.

In 2019, Joffre made his professional debut with Orlando City B during the USL League One inaugural season. He later joined the Crystal Palace FC U-21 and RWD Molenbeek U-21 teams, gaining valuable experience in elite European development systems. Joffre also played for Botafogo FR, one of Brazil's top clubs, where he competed for the first and reserve teams. Joffre made one appearance for Botafogo's first team in a 2023 Campeonato Carioca contest. In 2024, he played for Real Monarchs in MLS NEXT Pro, making 19 appearances and scoring three goals.

Joffre is excited to be a part of the inaugural season for FC Naples because he believes expansion will continue to open more opportunities for young players. His return to play is a proud moment for his family and teammates, further strengthening the community connection with the team this inaugural season.
