SHERMAN, Texas - Texoma FC today announced the signing of a pair of goalkeepers in 26-year-old Javier Garcia and 24-year-old Aren Seeger, pending league and federation approval.
Javier Garcia joins Texoma FC after beginning his professional career in the USL Championship with Rio Grande Valley FC (2021-22) and El Paso Locomotive FC (2023-24). The McAllen, Texas native has totaled nine appearances and three clean sheets across his four-year professional career. Garcia played collegiately at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
"Javier is everything we identified in a top goalkeeper that will be a success here at Texoma," said Texoma Goalkeeper Coach Adam Lewis. "He is an exceptional shot-stopper with an incredible ability to use his feet along with a calming presence in goal to put us where we belong in USL League One."
"Joining a new team means new challenges and opportunities," Garcia said. "I'm excited for the opportunity to be able to prove ourselves as a team and show what we are capable of."
Aren Seeger joins Texoma FC from former USL Championship side Memphis 901 FC, where he made his professional debut with the club a season ago. Before his time in Memphis, Seeger spent three seasons with NCAA Division II's Southern Connecticut State University.
"You look at his experience and his background, he was a player that fit into the mold and who also has a point to prove," said Texoma Head Coach Adrian Forbes.
"I am really excited to be a part of this historic first roster of Texoma FC," said Seeger. "I can't wait to give my all and surprise the league with the quality of soccer here at Texoma FC!"
