SHERMAN, Texas - Texoma FC today announced it has signed midfielders Leland Gray and Luke McCormick to their first professional contracts, pending league and federation approval.

19-year-old Gray stood out at Texoma's Christmas Combine, subsequently earning his first professional contract and becoming the youngest signing in club history. Gray previously spent time in Denmark with fifth-division side SfB-Oure FA's U-19 team, where he made 37 appearances and scored one goal between October 2022 and June 2024.

"We want to develop young talent at Texoma FC and Leland is a player that fits that bracket," said Texoma Head Coach Adrian Forbes. "I was really impressed that someone so young had so many great leadership qualities this early in his career. Our goal is to use our development platform here at Texoma FC to elevate his leadership qualities and strengthen his technical attributes."

23-year-old McCormick joins on his first professional contract after excelling at West Virginia University between 2019 and 2023. A native of Derby, England, McCormick developed with Nottingham Forest FC's youth teams and made a trio of appearances for Forest's U-18 team in the 2017–18 FA Youth Cup.

In five seasons at WVU, McCormick totaled 16 goals and 20 assists across 86 appearances, earning MAC All-Tournament Team (2019), All-MAC First Team (2020-21, 2021), All-Sun Belt Second Team (2022, 2023) and United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region First Team (2023) honors during his tenure in Morgantown.

"Luke is a player I was excited to have been put on my radar quite a long time ago by our assistant coach Ben Clarvis," said Forbes. "He's an exciting talent who can unlock a lot of doors, and we couldn't be happier to have him here."
