'Mingos, Jaguars team up for sporting partnership as both enter seventh season

MADISON, Wis. - Forward Madison FC today announced it has entered into a sporting partnership with Campeonato Brasileiro Série B side Amazonas FC, effective immediately.

The partnership will consist primarily of sharing information on methods and best practices on the technical side of each club's operations. The partnership will also kindle an impactful relationship between the clubs, aiming to enhance player development initiatives and access new markets with loan and transfer opportunities. The partnership will also foster a connection between cultures and experiences through football.

"I'm excited to form this partnership with Amazonas FC," said Madison Head Coach and Technical Director Matt Glaeser. "We will continue to work towards growing the Forward Madison network globally and enhance our brand, strengthen our technical ambitions, and progress our club."

"It is important for us - in the process of expanding our brand - to establish a partnership with a club in the United States," explained Amazonas President Weslley Couto. "It is a country that views sports in a unique way and certainly has a lot to contribute to Amazonas."

Amazonas FC is a 7-year-old professional club based in Manaus, Amazonas, nestled in the heart of Brazil's Amazon rainforest. The Jaguars kicked off their first season of existence in the Campeonato Amazonense Second Division, the second division state league, equivalent to the sixth division nationally. Between 2019 and 2024, Amazonas progressed from the Campeonato Amazonense (2020-21), Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (2022), Campeonato Brasileiro Série C (2023), finally earning promotion to Brazil's second-division Série B in 2024.
