MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. - Westchester SC today announced a trio of experienced defenders signed to its inaugural roster, pending league and federation approval. Trinidad and Tobago international Noah Powder, longtime USL Championship defender Rashid Tetteh, and former Real Salt Lake product Kurowskybob Pierre join the expansion side.
A native of Edison, N.J., Noah Powder began his youth career with the New York Red Bulls Academy, and his professional career kicked off in 2016 when he signed with New York Red Bulls II in the USL Championship. In 2019, Powder moved to Real Monarchs, the reserve team of MLS side Real Salt Lake, where he helped the club secure the 2019 USL Championship title. Powder has also played for Indy Eleven, FC Tulsa, Orange County SC, and most recently for USL League One side Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC. He has also represented Trinidad and Tobago at the international level since 2015. Powder reunites with his brother, Samory, on Westchester's inaugural roster.
Ghanaian defender Rashid Tetteh comes to Westchester SC after spending two seasons with FC Tulsa in the USL Championship. After starring at High Point University, Tettah joined the Carolina Dynamo in 2016 before moving on to play for the Des Moines Menace, New Mexico United and later FC Tulsa.
Kurowskybob Pierre is a defender who comes to Westchester from Real Monarchs in MLS NEXT Pro where he has played the past two seasons. Pierre made his professional debut in 2019, for Real Monarchs - helping the side with the 2019 USL Championship title - before spending two seasons in France within RC Strasbourg Alsace's youth system, before returning to Real Monarchs in 2022. On the international stage, he is eligible for the United States and Haiti and played eight total matches for Haiti U-17's in the 2019 Concacaf U-17 Championship and 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
