NAPLES, Fla. – FC Naples today announced the addition of defender 23-year-old Julian Cisneros and 24-year-old forward Karsen Henderlong, pending league and federation approval.
Karsen Henderlong arrives at FC Naples following a debut professional season with Indy Eleven in the USL Championship last year. Henderlong has consistently demonstrated his scoring prowess and versatility as a striker, tracing back to his collegiate career at Indiana University.
"Karsen is a player who excelled in the college ranks," said Naples Head Coach Matt Poland. "He has experience in the USL Championship and is hungry to come here and score goals."
Henderlong was an integral part of Indiana's victory at the 2022 NCAA Men's College Cup.. His collegiate accolades include being a First-Team All-BIG EAST selection in 2021 and a Second-Team honoree in 2020. Over 91 collegiate appearances, Henderlong amassed an impressive 32 goals, marking him as a reliable finisher.
Julian Cisneros begins his professional career with FC Naples after an impressive tenure at Loyola University Chicago. A right-back known for his consistency and defensive skills with a mix of offense, Cisneros was a cornerstone of the Ramblers' soccer program, starting every match during his final three collegiate seasons.
"Julian had a fantastic college career. He is a defensive player who can create offensive opportunities by joining the attack," said Poland. "We are excited to see him sign his first professional contract."
Cisneros' achievements include being named to the College Soccer News Men's National Team of the Week in October 2023. His rise to prominence began in his freshman year when he was selected for the Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman Team in the 2020-21 season. Cisneros has a dynamic and electric style with a huge capacity to adapt to various tactical setups, making him a valuable addition to FC Naples.
