LANCASTER, Calif. - AV ALTA FC today announced it has signed former Haiti international defender Ashkanov Apollon, pending league and federation approval.
The 33-year-old Boston, Mass. native played collegiately at Peninsula College of the Northwest Athletic Conference, helping the Pirates to a conference title in 2013.
Between 2014 and 2019, Apollon played in several different places: France with Voltigeurs de Châteaubriant (2018), FC Mulhouse (2018) and SR Colmar (2019); Thailand with Grakcu Sai Mai United FC (2014) and Samut Sakhon City FC (2016); the United States and USL League Two with Kitsap Pumas (2015) and Sound FC (2016); and Vietnam with Long An FC (2017).
In 2020, Apollon returned to the United States and signed with USL Championship side Sacramento Republic FC. He briefly appeared with NISA's Albion San Diego in 2021 before returning to the USL Championship in at the end of 2021 with Hartford Athletic. Apollon spent the 2024 season with former USL League One side Central Valley Fuego FC, making 31 appearances and providing three goal contributions for the club across all competitions.
Between March 2021 and June 2022, Apollon made seven appearances for Haiti across FIFA World Cup qualification, Concacaf Nations League and international friendly play.
