NAPLES, Fla. - FC Naples today announced the signing of 25-year-old defender Brecc Evans, pending league and federation approval. The former North Texas SC and Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC defender has won the USL League One title (2019), the USL League One Players' Shield (2019) and the USL Jägermeister Cup (2024).
"Brecc is a highly talented defender," said Naples Head Coach Matt Poland. "He has a lot of experience and brings a high standard to the field. Brecc's winning mentality will be important in building the culture this inaugural season."
Evans began his professional career with North Texas SC in 2019, captaining the League One original to the 2019 USL League One Final. In 24 appearances across all competitions, Evans helped North Texas become inaugural USL League One champions and Players' Shield winners.
Evans began the 2020 season on loan with USL Championship side Austin Bold FC before returning to North Texas SC to close out the season. Evans spent the 2021 campaign in the USL Championship with Memphis 901 FC.
In 2022, Evans signed with Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC. Evans helped the Hailstorm to a pair of USL League One Playoffs appearances and the inaugural USL Jägermeister Cup title. Across all competitions and three seasons with the Hailstorm, Evans became the club's all-time minutes leader (6,867).
Evans reunites with former Northern Colorado teammate, Lalo Delgado, in Naples; the pair have participated in 53 matches together across all competitions.
