TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced that Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC's Éamon Zayed has been named the USL League One Coach of the Month for October.
The Hailstorm became the first team in League One history to conclude a regular season with five consecutive victories, as Zayed led Northern Colorado to an unblemished 5-0-0 October and a club-record, top-two finish. Three of Northern Colorado's final five victories came against postseason-bound clubs (Charlotte, Spokane, Madison), and the Hailstorm totaled four clean sheets, nine goals, one goal conceded, a +8 goal differential, three points gained from losing positions and a league-leading 4.24 points won above expected.
Previously named League One Coach of the Month in May and September of the 2023 season, the third-year Hailstorm head coach joins Dominic Casciato (OMA), John Harkes (GVL), Eric Quill (NTX), John Bradford (NC) and Mike Jeffries (CLT) as the only coaches in League One history to be named Coach of the Month on three or more occasions.
Zayed was selected as League One's Coach of the Month by the USL League One Technical Committee.
