TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the four nominees for the League One Player of the Month presented by Konami eFootball for August, with top performers from the sixth season's sixth month selected for the ballot.
Voting for the League One Player of the Month award will be conducted by the following two voting bodies:

A fan vote on USLLeagueOne.com will comprise 60% of the poll. The fan vote will run through Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 5:30 p.m. ET.

The USL Technical Committee's ballots comprise 40% of the poll.
The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, Sept. 5.
Please note: The League One Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as League One Player of the Year or position players of the year. Additionally, the selection process does not take USL Jägermeister Cup matches into consideration.
USL LEAGUE ONE PLAYER OF THE MONTH NOMINEES – August
- M - Ates Diouf, Lexington SC: Lexington's all-time leading scorer helped the second-year side to an unbeaten August through his two goals and one assist. The 2023 USL League One All-League First Team forward also totaled 15 duels won, 10 recoveries, eight chances created, six fouls won, five dribbles completed and completed 89% of his passes across 231 minutes of action. Per American Soccer Analysis, Diouf's 0.74 goals added led all wingers in August.
- F - Ethan Hoard, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC: After amassing two goals and one assist through 269 minutes of play in August, Northern Colorado's first-year professional is up to 18 goal contributions across all competitions this season. The 23-year-old registered one penalty won, 12 duels won, eight recoveries, five shots on target, four chances created and four fouls won in the Hailstorm's unbeaten 2-0-1 month. Hoard led all players in August with his 1.39 goals added, according to American Soccer Analysis.
- M - Andre Lewis, Spokane Velocity FC: Complementing fellow veteran Luis Gil in the Spokane midfield, Lewis enjoyed a two-goal, one-assist month to help Velocity FC lock up an undefeated August. The 30-year-old former Jamaica international contributed an additional 23 recoveries, 12 completed long passes, 10 duels won, six chances created and a passing accuracy rate of 87% across his 270 minutes of August action. According to American Soccer Analysis, Lewis led all midfielders with his 1.21 goals added.
- F - Kempes Tekiela, One Knoxville SC: After thriving in Luxembourg, Germany and Denmark, Tekiela has made his mark on Knoxville less than a season into his tenure in the Volunteer State, becoming the club's all-time leading scorer through his three August goals. In just 129 minutes of play, the 26-year-old helped One Knox to a win and a draw with one assist, 10 shots on target, six chances created, five duels won and seven successful crosses. Tekiela finished second among strikers in August with his 0.84 goals added, per American Soccer Analysis.
