USL League One Player of the Month Nominees - June

14 combined goal contributions for quartet of playmakers

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the four nominees for the League One Player of the Month presented by Konami eFootball for June, with top performers from the sixth season's fourth month selected for the ballot.

Voting for the League One Player of the Month award will be conducted by the following two voting bodies:

  • A fan vote on USLLeagueOne.com will comprise 60% of the poll. The fan vote will run through Monday, July 8 at 5 p.m. ET.

  • The USL Technical Committee’s ballots comprise 40% of the poll.

The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Wednesday, July 10.

Please note: The League One Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as League One Player of the Year or position players of the year. Additionally, the selection process does not take USL Jägermeister Cup matches into consideration.

USL LEAGUE ONE PLAYER OF THE MONTH NOMINEES – June

  • F - Lyam MacKinnon, Greenville Triumph SC: The Golden Boot leader added two goals to his tally midway through his second season as a professional. In addition to a pair of goals, MacKinnon added one assist, 10 duels won, nine recoveries, six shots on target, four dribbles completed, and was tied for the league lead with eight chances created. MacKinnon's shooting score (0.31) led all players in June, according to American Soccer Analysis.
  • F - Chevone Marsh, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: The former Jamaica international had a June to remember, scoring four goals across four matches - matching a career-high - and leading the league with five total goal contributions on the month. In addition to two of his four goals serving as match-winners, Marsh added one assist, 10 duels won, eight recoveries, six chances created, five shots on target, and completed 91% of his passes.
  • F - Juan Carlos Obregón, Jr., Charlotte Independence: After spending the majority of his career in the USL Championship and with top-flight Honduran side FC Motagua, Obregón, Jr. has constructed a career-best season, adding three goals in league play to his total of 12 goals across all competitions. The former Honduras youth national team forward added 12 duels won, six recoveries, four dribbles completed, three chances created and a league-leading 10 shots on target. Obregón, Jr.'s 1.09 goals added led all players in June, per American Soccer Analysis.
  • M - Bruno Rendón, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC: The USL Jägermeister Cup scoring leader opened his League One account with a goal in three consecutive matches, extending his stretch of nine goals in his last eight matches across all competitions. The Cuban tallied 22 duels won, 15 recoveries, five shots on target, three dribbles completed and three chances created in a perfect 3-0-0 June. Rendón's 0.87 goals added led all midfielders in June, per American Soccer Analysis.
