Summary

1 Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC
LEAGUE: (3-2-2)
CUP: (3-0-2)
Round 5: W v SPK
3
Last Week: 4
Average Ranking: 7
Looks like it’s time to put some respect on Northern Colorado’s name. The Hailstorm have won five in a row, are unbeaten across their last nine and maintain a +11 goal differential across that span.
2 Union Omaha
LEAGUE: (5-2-1)
CUP: (2-1-2)
Round 5: W v CHA
1
Last Week: 3
Average Ranking: 2
The Owls grabbed their fourth consecutive victory against the Red Wolves last week but are still second to Hailstorm in the West Group. Omaha is in a good position to advance to the USL League One Playoffs as well as the USL Jägermeister Cup knockout, though.
3 Forward Madison FC
LEAGUE: (5-0-4)
CUP: (3-2-0)
Round 5: L @ KNX
2
Last Week: 1
Average Ranking: 4
The ‘Mingos’ club-record unbeaten streak came to an unceremonious end in Knoxville over the weekend. A nationally televised Henny Derby followed up by what should be a layup against Central Valley precede a pivotal clash with Central Group-leading Lexington on July 20.
4 Greenville Triumph SC
LEAGUE: (7-3-1)
CUP: (2-1-2)
Round 5: L v LEX
2
Last Week: 2
Average Ranking: 3
A solid three-match winning streak across all competitions has been bookended by rather head-scratching losses against Chattanooga and Lexington. Triumph SC will host Omaha this weekend in a clash of League One bluebloods.
5 One Knoxville SC
LEAGUE: (4-4-1)
CUP: (3-2-0)
Round 5: W v MAD
1
Last Week: 6
Average Ranking: 4
Knoxville tallied a massive win against Madison to snap the ‘Mingos’ record unbeaten stretch. In its third season, Knoxville seems to be in a good position to make the postseason for the first time since the 2022 USL League Two Playoffs.
6 Charlotte Independence
LEAGUE: (4-3-2)
CUP: (1-1-3)
Round 5: T v RIC (L,PK)
1
Last Week: 5
Average Ranking: 5
After dropping points in a pair of recent matches against Greenville and Richmond, the Jacks will ride to Windsor, Colo. where they will seek their first-ever win away at Northern Colorado.
7 Spokane Velocity FC
LEAGUE: (3-3-2)
CUP: (1-2-2)
Round 5: L @ NCO
1
Last Week: 8
Average Ranking: 7
Spokane suffered a tough loss against a surging Northern Colorado side last week. The first-year side will get a big boost if they can snag a victory against Chattanooga on Saturday.
8 Richmond Kickers
LEAGUE: (2-5-3)
CUP: (1-2-2)
Round 5: T @ CLT (W,PK)
2
Last Week: 10
Average Ranking: 9
While it’s now been over a month since the Kickers last grabbed a win, Richmond looked good against Charlotte last week. A big test awaits the Kickers in the form of a nationally televised Henny Derby on Wednesday.
9 South Georgia Tormenta FC
LEAGUE: (3-5-3)
CUP: (0-3-2)
Round 5: T v CV (W,PK)
2
Last Week: 7
Average Ranking: 8
With their penalty shootout victory last week, the Ibises finally grabbed more than a single point in a match for the first time since May 18. While nearing East Group elimination, Tormenta FC still remains above the playoff line.
10 Lexington SC
LEAGUE: (1-4-3)
CUP: (3-1-1)
Round 5: W @ GVL
1
Last Week: 11
Average Ranking: 8
In what seems to be the biggest disparity for any club between league and cup play, Lexington have struggled in the regular season and thrived in USL Jägermeister Cup play - the second-year side tops the Central Group.
11 Chattanooga Red Wolves SC
LEAGUE: (3-4-1)
CUP: (1-4-0)
Round 5: L @ OMA
2
Last Week: 9
Average Ranking: 10
The Red Wolves have only managed three wins since the start of May. The window to advance to the USL League One Playoffs and USL Jägermesiter Cup knockouts is starting to close.
12 Central Valley Fuego FC
LEAGUE: (1-6-1)
CUP: (0-1-4)
Round 5: T v TRM (L,PK)

Last Week: 12
Average Ranking: 12
Winless since March 20, Fuego FC has struggled mightily since the start of the season. Road trips against Northern Colorado and Madison don’t look too promising.
