Chattanooga's Chevone Marsh leads way with four goal contributions

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the Team of the Week for Week 10 of the 2024 regular season with Chattanooga Red Wolves SC forward Chevone Marsh named Player of the Week presented by Konami eFootball with three goals and one assist across a pair of matches.

The 30-year-old former Jamaica international propelled his side to a convincing 3-1 victory against first-place Greenville on Saturday with his third Red Wolves brace in addition to one assist. On Saturday, Marsh added an additional goal to his Week 10 tally before falling to Omaha, 5-2. Marsh's four goals contributions led all players in Week 10.

"Chevone is a top person, top player and ramped up his form in recent weeks," Chattanooga Head Coach Scott Mackenzie said. "He has been a bright spark for us in a difficult patch which is important to our group.  He is definitely someone we are looking to get more from in the coming weeks and months. This is a well-deserved award!"

COACH - Matt Glaeser, Forward Madison FC: Glaeser's 'Mingos are now the lone remaining unbeaten team in league play after a massive 4-1 victory against Lexington on Saturday. Madison's five-match winning streak across all competitions is the longest in club history.

GK - Pablo Jara, Richmond Kickers: The Chilean notched his fourth professional penalty kick save - his first for Richmond - in a victory against Knoxville. Jara made five saves to up his total to 299 in regular season play - the second-most in league history.

D - David García, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC: The 2023 USL League One champion assisted Bruno Rendón's match-winning goal in Omaha on Saturday. The 23-year-old Spaniard also completed 87% of his passes, completed seven long balls, recorded six recoveries and won four duels.

D - Blake Malone, Union Omaha: In his return to Omaha after a pair of seasons away, the 2021 USL League One champion scored his first goal for the Owls against Chattanooga on Wednesday. In two week 10 matches, the former United States youth international completed 88% of his passes, won seven duels, recorded five recoveries, completed four long passes and won three fouls.

D - Jamie Smith, Greenville Triumph SC: Despite having his penalty kick attempt saved against Chattanooga, Smith still enjoyed a solid outing, recording an 88% passing accuracy, 12 duels won, eight completed long passes, five fouls won, three recoveries and one penalty won.

D - Declan Watters, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: After making his professional debut with second-division Swedish side Vänersborgs IF a season ago, the 25-year-old Irish defender tallied his first professional goal in Chattanooga's loss to Omaha on Wednesday. In a pair of Week 10 matches, Watters registered 22 duels won, nine tackles won, eight completed long passes and six recoveries.

M - Pedro Dolabella, Union Omaha: Adding to his tally with a pair of Week 10 goals, Dolabella has scored in each of his last four league matches. The Brazilian accumulated two goals, one assist, 10 duels won, seven fouls won and completed 86% of his passes.

M - Derek Gebhard, Forward Madison FC: Across all competitions, Gebhard has recorded a goal contribution in three of his last four matches. The veteran 'Mingo helped Madison to a big win against Lexington with one assist, a 97% passing completion rate, six recoveries and three duels won.

M - Aiden Mesias, Forward Madison FC: Just 10 matches into his third season as a professional, the Charlton Athletic FC and Queens Park Rangers FC youth product has matched a career-high with his second goal of the season. Mesias recorded one goal - the match-winner - completed 97% of his passes and won five duels.

F - Christian Chaney, Forward Madison FC: On pace to break multiple personal records, Madison's all-time leading scorer registered his ninth professional brace and added five shots and three duels won in the 'Mingos' big win against Lexington.

F - Joe Gallardo, Union Omaha: Across a pair of Week 10 contests, the former United States youth international provided Omaha with an assist and a goal. Gallardo also added seven duels won, five duels won and four completed long passes.

F - Chevone Marsh, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC: The 30-year-old former Jamaica international was clutch for Chattanooga in two Week 10 matches. Marsh scored twice and provided an assist against Greenville on Saturday before adding an additional goal against Omaha on Wednesday. Across both matches, Marsh totaled a passing accuracy of 87%, four duels won and four recoveries.
