SHERMAN, Texas - Texoma FC today announced the hiring of Adrian Forbes as the club's inaugural sporting director. Forbes joins Texoma FC from English Premier League side Luton Town FC, where he was the Head of Coaching and Professional Player Development.

"After five fantastic years working for Luton Town FC, it was always going to take something special to prize me away from Luton," Forbes said. "Over time, I've been able to get to know the vision and dream behind Texoma FC provided by the club's leadership, Simon Keizer and Ben Watson. It is truly an honor to be able to be accepted in the build-out and development of this club here in Texoma in what is such an exciting time for the game."

Forbes is an English former professional footballer who not only has a prestigious coaching background but also an illustrious playing career highlighted by his time at Norwich City FC, Swansea City AFC, Blackpool FC, Luton Town FC, Grimsby Town FC and Millwall FC. A former England youth international, the former forward lifted the EFL Trophy with Swansea City in 2005-06.

"Football, 'soccer,' is growing rapidly in the U.S., and I hope to be able to add some of my knowledge and experience to make a positive impact in the club and the community," Forbes added. "As sport in general grows, the U.S. is on the verge of exponential growth for the sport of soccer with the 2026 FIFA World Cup arriving shortly after Texoma FC kicks off. I see the USL growing alongside this and believe the Texoma community will unite and rally behind this."

The Texoma community can expect to see Adrian and his family arriving by the end of May to start his role within the club. His immediate plans are to begin to help the development of the youth academy and early scouting for the 2025 USL League One roster.
