Are Greenville and Omaha the teams to beat? Will Knoxville and Charlotte continue their hot starts to the season? Tell us why your club should rank higher and keep the conversation going on Twitter at @USLLeagueOne.

Summary

1 Union Omaha
(3-0-1)
Week 8: W v TRM
1
Last Week: 2
Average Ranking: 2
Moving back to the top of the Power Rankings for the first time in six weeks, Omaha matched a club and league record by starting the season with eight consecutive unbeaten matches across all competitions.
2 Greenville Triumph SC
(4-2-1)
Week 8: L @ MAD
1
Last Week: 1
Average Ranking: 3
After starting its season with six consecutive unbeaten matches across all competitions, Triumph SC has dropped points in four of its last five matches. As it stands, though, it won’t be until June 19 that Greenville will face an opponent in the upper quarter of either the league table or their USL Jägermeister Cup group.
3 Charlotte Independence
(3-1-1)
Week 8: W @ CV
1
Last Week: 4
Average Ranking: 5
Like Omaha, Charlotte were riding an eight-match unbeaten streak across all competitions before suffering a loss to MLS opposition in the U.S. Open Cup’s Round of 32 earlier this week.
4 One Knoxville SC
(3-1-1)
Week 8: T @ RIC
1
Last Week: 3
Average Ranking: 4
Knoxville really should be celebrating back-to-back victories, but the concession of a stoppage-time equalizer in Richmond last Friday means two points are lost.
5 Spokane Velocity FC
(0-0-1)
Round 1: T (L,PK) v CV

Last Week: 5
Average Ranking: 7
Despite picking up just one win in its last four matches across all competitions, Spokane have still enjoyed a stellar start to its inaugural season. Of the 20 clubs that have participated in League One since its inception in 2019, only four have lost fewer matches through the first 10 matches of their first season in the league across all competitions than Spokane has (3).
6 Richmond Kickers
(1-3-2)
Week 8: T v KNX
1
Last Week: 7
Average Ranking: 9
Following up a tough 2023 season with a rough start to 2024, the Kickers have won only one match this season against League One competition. Richmond will be hoping to see all-time scoring leader Emiliano Terzaghi make his return to City Stadium soon.
7 Forward Madison FC
(2-0-3)
Week 8: W v LEX
1
Last Week: 8
Average Ranking: 6
The ‘Mingos shook off a rocky three-match winless stretch with a much-needed victory against first-place Greenville via Juan Galindrez’s stoppage-time stunner last Saturday.
8 South Georgia Tormenta FC
(2-4-1)
Week 8: L @ OMA
2
Last Week: 6
Average Ranking: 9
Since that thrilling U.S. Open Cup win against Miami FC a couple of weeks ago, the Ibises have just looked a bit off. Blowout league losses to Greenville and Omaha - granted two of the league’s top teams at the moment - and a crushing loss against Charleston in the U.S. Open Cup earlier this week are surely tough to digest.
9 Lexington SC
(1-0-0)
Round 1: W v MAD

Last Week: 9
Average Ranking: 6
Still reeling from that incredible stoppage-time victory against Madison two weeks ago, Lexington resume USL Jägermeister Cup play against a floundering Fuego FC side and have a solid chance to keep pace with Knoxville atop the Central Group standings.
10 Chattanooga Red Wolves SC
(0-1-0)
Round 1: L v KNX

Last Week: 10
Average Ranking: 10
After starting the season 3-1 across all competitions under recently appointed head coach Scott Mackenzie, the Red Wolves have gone 0-2-1 across three competitions in their last three outings. An upcoming three-match stretch across League One and USL Jägermeister Cup play against the likes of Richmond, South Georgia an Lexington should prove fruitful, though.
11 Central Valley Fuego FC
(1-5-0)
Week 8: L @ CLT

Last Week: 11
Average Ranking: 11
Central Valley have just two wins on the season across all competitions - one against a 10-man South Georgia side to open the season and another against amateur side FC Folsom in the U.S. Open Cup. Jermaine Jones’ side must take advantage of a Lexington side that has struggled to find the back of the net this season.
12 Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC
(0-0-1)
Round 1: T (L,PK) @ OMA

Last Week: 12
Average Ranking: 7
The sample size is small, but 2-3-3 across all competitions to start the season - with lone victories coming against an amateur and an MLS NEXT Pro side in U.S. Open Cup play - is not up to the standard that Éamon Zayed has instilled in Colorado. A trio of upcoming matches against Knoxville, Charlotte and Omaha could prove difficult.
