Summary

1 Greenville Triumph SC
(0-0-1)
Round 1: T (L,PK) v RIC

Last Week: 1
Average Ranking: 3
Despite losing its first-ever penalty kick shootout against Richmond in USL Jägermeister Cup play on Saturday, first-year head coach Rick Wright seems to be doing all the right things in the Upstate. Triumph SC has lost just twice in its opening 10 matches across all competitions for the third time in six seasons.
2 Union Omaha
(2-0-1)
Week 7: T v CLT

Last Week: 2
Average Ranking: 2
The Owls will kick off their first USL Jägermeister Cup participation on Wednesday evening against a struggling Northern Colorado side. Omaha - undefeated through six matches across all competitions - have started each of its first five seasons with at least three matches undefeated.
3 One Knoxville SC
(1-0-0)
Round 1: W @ CHA

Last Week: 3
Average Ranking: 4
One Knox will go down in the history books as the first club in USL Jägermeister Cup history to claim a win in the competition, downing Smoky Mountain Smackdown rivals Chattanooga in CHI Memorial Stadium on Saturday, 1-0.
4 Charlotte Independence
(0-0-1)
Round 1: T (W,PK) @ TRM

Last Week: 4
Average Ranking: 5
After participating in just one penalty kick shootout through the first nine seasons of its existence, Charlotte and reigning USL League One Goalkeeper of the Year Austin Pack have participated in five since the start of the 2023 USL League One Playoffs - and won all but one.
5 Spokane Velocity FC
(0-0-1)
Round 1: T (L,PK) v CV

Last Week: 5
Average Ranking: 7
Since that disappointing inaugural match in Greenville to open the season, Spokane have only lost once in USL competition. Velocity FC will look to remain unbeaten in USL Jägermeister Cup play as it faces League One Players’ Shield holders, Union Omaha, on May 11.
6 South Georgia Tormenta FC
(0-0-1)
Round 1: T (L,PK) v CLT
1
Last Week: 7
Average Ranking: 9
Winning an extra point in a shootout was always going to be difficult when facing Austin Pack in net, but South Georgia was able to bounce back from a disappointing league result against Greenville with a solid showing against Charlotte in the pair’s USL Jägermeister Cup debut.
7 Richmond Kickers
(0-0-1)
Round 1: T (W,PK) @ GVL
1
Last Week: 8
Average Ranking: 9
The Kickers held League One’s highest-scoring team to just one goal in Round 1 of the USL Jägermeister Cup before eventually winning the penalty kick shootout to claim the extra point in the pair’s 14th all-time meeting.
8 Forward Madison FC
(0-1-0)
Round 1: L @ LEX
2
Last Week: 6
Average Ranking: 5
The ‘Mingos had a one-man advantage for over half an hour and a two-man advantage for the final few minutes of the match. Lexington not only kept a clean sheet but tallied a winner late in stoppage time. Scoring has been a struggle for Madison thus far.
9 Lexington SC
(1-0-0)
Round 1: W v MAD

Last Week: 9
Average Ranking: 6
No quit in Lexington, as the second-year side went down to nine men before scoring a dramatic stoppage-time winner against Madison through inaugural signing and former University of Kentucky star Kaelon Fox's first goal for the club.
10 Chattanooga Red Wolves SC
(0-1-0)
Round 1: L v KNX

Last Week: 10
Average Ranking: 10
Following that 3-1-0 start to the season across all competitions, the Red Wolves have lost three consecutive matches across League One and USL Jägermeister Cup play. Next up, Scott Mackenzie’s side will take on Richmond in an inter-group USL Jägermeister Cup match on May 11.
11 Central Valley Fuego FC
(0-0-1)
Round 1: T (W,PK) @ SPK
1

Fuego FC was able to snap its four-matching losing streak across all competitions - and earn an extra point - with its draw and penalty shootout victory on the road against Spokane in the very first USL Jägermeister Cup match.
12 Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC
(0-2-2)
Week 7: T @ CHA
