LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington SC today announced the acquisition of forward Alexis Cerritos via transfer from MLS NEXT Pro side Huntsville City FC, pending league and federation approval.

With Nashville SC's developmental squad, Cerritos made four appearances for Huntsville during the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season. Cerritos joined HCFC after spending the 2022 and 2023 USL League One seasons with Central Valley Fuego FC, where he accumulated 10 goals and seven assists in 50 league appearances. With 17 combined goals and assists, Cerritos is Fuego FC's all-time goal contributions leader.

Cerritos spent his youth career within the D.C. United Academy from 2015 to 2018 before a short stint in 2019 with C.F. Pachuca's academy in Liga MX. Between 2019 and 2021, Cerritos spent three seasons with three different USL Championship clubs, making one appearance with Loudoun United FC in 2019, three appearances with Orange County SC in 2020 and 22 appearances with Rio Grande Valley FC in 2021.

On the international stage, Cerritos' one cap with the El Salvador national team came in an international friendly victory over Canada in 2017. At the time of his debut, Cerritos was the second-youngest player and the first born in the 21st century to appear for La Selecta.

"Signing with Lexington SC means a lot to me," Cerritos said. "I'm very excited for this new opportunity, and I'm ready to wear the LSC badge with pride and make my mark on the pitch!"
