Honduran's league-leading four goal contributions led Knoxville to top of table

TAMPA, Fla. – One Knoxville SC midfielder Angelo Kelly-Rosales has been voted USL League One Player of the Month presented by Konami eFootball for March. After seeing action in the USL Championship, USL League One and USL League Two, the 31-year-old Honduran's recognition as Player of the Month was the first for both Kelly-Rosales as a player and Knoxville as a club.

"It's been a great month for me, and I've been fortunate enough to be contributing to the attack a bit this year," said Kelly-Rosales. "Without the help of my teammates, I wouldn't be the Player of the Month."

Across 249 minutes in March, Kelly-Rosales was tied for the league lead with his two goals and two assists. The midfielder led all players with his 11 chances created and four goal contributions and helped first-place Knoxville to a club-best 3-0-0 start to a season with his 22 duels won, 13 recoveries and 87% passing accuracy. Each of Knoxville's three match-winning goals in March were scored or assisted by Kelly-Rosales who reunited with March's USL League One Coach of the Month, Mark McKeever, a season ago after spending time with him at USL League Two's Mississippi Brilla FC in 2017.

Leading Knoxville to the top of the League One table for the first time, Kelly-Rosales received 44.8% of a weighted poll that included the USL League One Technical Committee and an online fan vote held at USLLeagueOne.com. Forward Madison FC midfielder Devin Boyce finished second on 25.2% with his two goals, while Spokane Velocity FC midfielder Luis Gil finished third on 21% with a pair of match-winning goal contributions across his side's inaugural month of play.
