Knoxville climb to top of Power Rankings for first time

We're officially through the first month of the season and all 12 teams are starting to develop their identities on the pitch.

How long will Knoxville remain on top of the table? Can the Kickers turn things around without Emiliano Terzaghi? Tell us why your club should rank higher and keep the conversation going on Twitter at @USLLeagueOne.

Summary

1 One Knoxville SC
(3-0-0)
Week 4: W v TRM
1
Last Week: 2
Average Ranking: 4
The only perfect team remaining in the league, Knoxville are enjoying the best start to a season in club history thanks in part to a league-leading +4 goal differential.
2 Greenville Triumph SC
(2-0-1)
Week 4: W @ LEX
1
Last Week: 3
Average Ranking: 5
An incredible come-from-behind victory over Lexington last week - its largest in club history - propelled the league’s highest-scoring team to second in the table and seconding the Power Rankings.
3 Union Omaha
(1-0-0)
Week 4: ---
2
Last Week: 1
Average Ranking: 1
The Owls are in seventh place but only due to the fact that they’ve played just one league match. They’ll have just two additional league matches in April and plenty of time to focus on U.S. Open Cup and USL Jägermeister Cup play in the meantime.
4 Forward Madison FC
(1-0-2)
Week 4: W @ CV
2
Last Week: 6
Average Ranking: 5
The ‘Mingos are an unbeaten 1-0-2 in league play and have racked up back-to-back clean sheets courtesy of Bernd Schipmann.
5 Charlotte Independence
(1-1-0)
Week 4: W v SPK
3
Last Week: 8
Average Ranking: 5
Charlotte bounced back from a disappointing opening loss to Knoxville with a 2-1 victory over newcomers Spokane thanks to a stoppage time winner from the Player of the Week, Luis Álvarez.
6 Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC
(0-1-1)
Week 4: ---
2
Last Week: 4
Average Ranking: 4
The Hailstorm join the Red Wolves as the only two sides that have failed to find the back of the net in league play this season. Northern Colorado have picked up just one point from matches against Lexington and Spokane.
7 Spokane Velocity FC
(2-2-0)
Week 4: L @ CLT

Last Week: 7
Average Ranking: 9
Velocity FC nearly came out of Charlotte with a point if not for a last-minute winner from the hosts. Still, sitting in third place through the first month of the season is impressive for the newcomers.
8 Lexington SC
(1-2-1)
Week 4: L v GVL
3
Last Week: 5
Average Ranking: 4
Disappointing so far, Lexington have plenty of time to turn things around. LSC will look to shake off a discouraging result against Greenville as it faces South Georgia on the road.
9 South Georgia Tormenta FC
(1-2-1)
Week 4: L @ KNX

Last Week: 9
Average Ranking: 11
The Ibises have started to build some momentum as Ian Cameron continues to navigate a roster full of newcomers.
10 Chattanooga Red Wolves SC
(0-1-0)
Week 4: ---

Last Week: 10
Average Ranking: 9
It’s difficult to judge the Red Wolves off of their one league loss and two U.S. Open Cup wins against amateur sides. Matches against Central Valley and Northern Colorado ahead of its USL Jägermeister Cup debut on April 27 should tell us a bit more.
11 Central Valley Fuego FC
(1-2-0)
Week 4: L v MAD

Last Week: 11
Average Ranking: 11
Struggling through injuries and a tough run of form, Central Valley’s next two opponents - Richmond and Chattanooga - both sit below the playoff line; Jermaine Jones’ squad will be hungry for a result in both.
12 Richmond Kickers
(0-2-0)
Week 4: ---

Last Week: 12
Average Ranking: 10
Two losses and two goals scored early in the league season for the Kickers isn’t too promising. Despite maintaining the best possessional average across the league (60%), the Kickers aren’t converting their chances.
